Long time no see!
At last I’m back. Well what’s been happening?! I have good and bad days, on a bad day I’ll sleep for at least 10 hours and usually be eating breakfast as late as 12 o’clock. I takes me ages to dress and do anything! My right foot still has muscle spasms and has an intermittent pain like standing on shards of glass excrutiating. I’ve been to the docs several times over the last 18 months and no joy, they don’t seem to know much if anything about stroke pain. I get a burning sensation on my right toes too every now and then. I’ve learnt more in Twitter, the burning sensation is nerves healing and regrowing. Muscles can have spasms which are painful an they can make a limb distort too. I’ve put it down to the muscles in my foot protesting because they’re being asked to do something. Over the last few months it’s got a lot better. At the weekend we went to the ‘ Living North’ fair at the racecourse and I bought some gel insoles, they really make a difference but don’t stop my muscle spasms of course. They’re like walking on slightly filled hot water bottles as you can feel the gel moving! So let’s hope it continues to improve!
This month has seen my daughters 18 birthday. We had a lovely family meal at a location restaurant. She’s also had a meal with her father and then thought she was having one with her friend and her boyfriend but when she got to her friends house they’d organised a surprise party!
Mum is now out of hospital after her spell there in January due to pneumonia. She has good and bad days. Mum and Dad have just celebrated their 65 wedding anniversary. We had a family meal last night.
My daughter has a conditional offer from college to do a HNC in Beauty Therapy! It’s great ’cos I can get my nails done!
I hope you’re all keeping going with those exercises!? When my foot feels better I’ve done them but then I’ve paid for it after by having bad pain and spasms. Hopefully these insoles will stop that eventually and u can get back to some excercise. It’s so frustrating that I’ve had to halt it for 18 months it’s really held up any improvement!
The weather is getting sunny and spring like here so I hope I get out more! Keep going and don’t give up however small the improvement things will get better.
